Vana Candles’s story started when our founder Robin followed his love all the way from Sweden to his new home  Taiwan. While this new environment made him miss home, he noticed the cloudy rainy weather and the confined  living spaces of the busy city was in need of a lifestyle remedy. He turned to his home for inspiration and found  his answer - the Swedish tradition of lighting candles that transform the atmosphere, and the approach of life as  being close to nature.

Using the word Vana, meaning “habits'' in Swedish, Robin wanted to capture these lifestyle habits into authentic  and natural made products, aiming to inspire people to improve their quality of life and their relationship with  nature.

Our focus on environmental protection and sustainability is not  limited to our manufacturing process. In 2019, we launched the Value  Nature Sustainability Project in collaboration with “One Tree Planted,” a  worldwide renowned. Together, we have planted thousands of trees  through our partnership. Beginning in 2021, we launched another  initiative to allocate 1% of our revenue to support the Taiwan Charity  Foundation’s Coastal Reforestation Project. We will continue to find  partners who value nature to partner with and push change with.

Drawing  inspiration from nature, we utilize warm colours and clean lines to  convey the adaptability and resilience of our natural world, capturing  its unique scent into each candle. Vana’s scented diffusers are carefully crafted with the finest quality,  internationally certified fragrance oils to fill any space with a refreshing,  memorable fragrance. Our alcohol and  glycol-free formulas slowly  and evenly release fragrance for an optimal scent level that is never  overpowering. Made from cellulose, our 100%  biodegradable  fiber  reeds ensure total oil absorption without concerns of clogging  common to traditional bamboo or rattan reeds.  The simple  glass  bottle is an ode to Scandinavian minimalism and can also be repurposed  as a bud vase or decor piece.
